Unscripted. Unedited. Real.
Writing for five minutes.
A sort of writing flash mob.
Welcome.
I believe that I will start looking at that word as a contraction.
We...will...come.
Maybe that way, I can begin to understand all the facets of its cut.
For I want my heart to breathe with hospitality, acceptance, appreciation, delight.
I want my moments to be less about, "Here I am!" and, instead, sound more like, "There YOU are!"
I want a life that beats from the center of all that is good and noble and lovely.
Consider it another way of scripting the gifts into every moment, every opportunity, every time.
Perhaps then I can really receive all that comes my way.
Because all of it--all is gift.
We...will...come
Beautiful take on the welcome and I hope too that I step into His gifts and accept them as welcome. Your header photographs are welcoming too - lovely snapshots of life. :) (BTW...the link for todays FMF went to your "graceful" post...not sure if you can change it or not)
ReplyDeleteWOW! I love "We..will...come". I can honestly say I have never looked at it that way, and yet, such truth and revealing principles there! Thank you for sharing. Dropping by from FMF.
ReplyDeleteOh how precious this is... It's about the other one, not myself. Yes!
ReplyDeleteAndrea, thank you for your kind words about my post and my pictures. So glad that you stopped by. And thanks for the heads up on my link...sometimes Google Chrome thinks too quickly for me and makes wrong assumptions about what I want to paste. I just re-linked with the proper address. Hope that's okay.
ReplyDeleteRaZella,
ReplyDeleteI promise, I never looked at it that way until this morning. But then it just seemed so obvious and I couldn't help but be moved by the concept. Thank you for stopping by!
"We will come." I love that and what a great way to look at the word. What if each of us said, "there you are" instead of "here I am?" What a difference we could make in peoples lives if we focused more on them and less on ourselves. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI like the way you have interpreted the word: welcoming in itself :)
ReplyDeleteFull disclosure..I heard that re-phrasing, the one about "there you are" instead of "here I am" from a talk about homeschooling. But I have never let loose of it and I feel that it is integral to a full understanding of so many things...hospitality, mercy, justice...I could go on and on. But, yes, what a difference could be made if we all embraced the concept.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Barbara! So glad that you stopped by.
ReplyDeleteColor-ado....
ReplyDeleteRealized that last night looking at the pictures with mom and dad..Ironic ? Or just another way we are always connected sis?
This is what I'm learning - it's amazing how quickly my focus shifts back to me... I love this pondering on Welcome...
ReplyDeleteWhat an intriguing idea We'lcome. I like!
